Samung are not only the leading smartphone manufacturer in the world but they are also the most prolific consistently releasing a variety of new models. Over the past few weeks we have seen several new devices unveiled and now the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and the Galaxy Mega 6.3, two of these new handsets, are both available to purchase for UK consumers.
After lots of speculation and official reveals of a handful of new phones an online retailer in the UK has begun selling both the new Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and the Galaxy Mega 6.3 with it massive new display. The retailer is currently only selling the SIM free versions of these models although it is likely that a range of tariffs with various network providers will be announced soon. The Galaxy S4 Mini is a more compact version of the best selling Galaxy S4 also offering more modest specification. The model is selling for £389.99 and both black and white versions of the handset are available. The Galaxy Mega 6.3 is targeting consumers looking for a large display but with mid range money in their wallets and will have the same colour options as the S4 Mini and sell for £434.99.
As we mentioned earlier the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is not only a smaller version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 but it also offers slightly scaled down specification in some areas which helps it retail for nearly £200 less than its big brother. The handset features a 4.3 inch qHD display as opposed to the 5 inch 1080P panel sported by the S4. Also a dual core processor is included rather than a quad core chip. This chip is clocked at an impressive 1.7Ghz. In terms of software the handset ships with the latest 4.2.2 version of the Android package. The Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 is at the opposite end of the scale in terms of size thanks to its 720P 6.3 inch screen. Like the Mini it also features a dual core processor which is a Snapdragon 400 chip.
